Application Submission Deadline
To be eligible for consideration in the battle, all materials must be RECEIVED by AUGUST 14th, 2009 (postmarked materials will NOT be accepted if received AFTER August 14th).
All eligible band application packets will be reviewed by the SWCC Band Selection Committee. Fifteen (15) bands and 3 alternate bands will be selected. Bands selected to compete and their order of performance on the day of the battle will be posted on this website by August 28th. All selected bands will also be contacted by phone, email, or letter.
Note: Dickenson County is the only SWCC service county sponsoring a battle of the bands this year and the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners will automatically be given a slot in the SWCC Rock the Mountains Battle of the Rock Bands competition, leaving 12 open slots to be filled.
- Groups shall consist of at least 3 people and not exceed 7 people. A band cannot have more than 7 people on the stage at any time - includes band members, back up vocalists, dancers, etc. (Please be sure to list anyone who will be on stage, for any reason, on the Band Stage Form. If you are not listed, you will not be permitted on stage - no exceptions.)
- There will be a maximum of 15 bands that will compete in the Battle of the Rock Bands, with 3 alternates lined up in the case of a cancellation by a pre-scheduled band.
- Original material is encouraged, but not required, for the Battle of the Rock Bands.

APPLICATION PACKAGE
All bands MUST submit the following materials to be considered for a slot in the battle:
- 1- band bio;
- 2- band photo;
- 3- one (1) song demo CD;
---DVD’s can be submitted, but are not required. A DVD cannot be submitted in lieu of the CD. - 4- Band Stage Form (BSF);
- 5- BORB Waiver Agreement (with authorizing signatures, as instructed on form).
- 6- $10 non-refundable application processing fee; if paying by check or money order, make payable to the SWCC Educational Foundation and note "Battle of the Rock Bands' in the memo line.
